Catlins and Stewart Island

29 January - 6 February 2020

Duration: 9 DAYS

View the intriguing Moeraki Boulders on our way to our overnight stop in Dunedin. Enjoy the unspoilt scenery of the Catlins, where we

visit the beautiful Purakanui Falls and Nugget Point Lighthouse.  Discover the McLean Falls, one of the world’s best petrified forests and

Slope Point – the southern most part of the South Island.  Have the opportunity to see lots of unique wild life on this trip (time and

nature permitting); seals, sea lions, albatross, yellow-eyed penguins.  We then travel on to Bluff to cross the Foveaux Strait, where we

sail to New Zealand’s third Island.  Enjoy the peace and tranquility, spectacular sunrises and sunsets of this virtually undiscovered paradise.

From Stewart Island, it’s back to the main land to continue our journey to Cromwell, where we take in the popular views of Lake Wanaka

and visit Puzzling World.  The journey back to Christchurch is via the awe-inspiring Mackenzie country with a brief stop at Lake Pukaki

then lunch at Lake Tekapo. “Yet again, one of your enjoyable trips… well organized, but at the same time relaxing…..” (Joyce)
